CIeNET has been approved by Google as a Third-Party Laboratory (3PL) for Android Auto Projection certification, adding to its existing accreditation for Android Automotive OS and cars with Google built-in. The company is now among the select group of Google-accredited 3PL partners authorized to certify vehicles worldwide.
As of January 2026, Google requires all new vehicle programs launching in 2026 or later to complete Certification 2.0 before shipping. That covers more than 60 automotive brands and 500 vehicle models globally. Without 3PL approval, vehicles can't ship with Android Auto, putting certification squarely on the critical path for any automaker's launch timeline.
CIeNET has been a Google-authorized supplier since 2020 and has held 3PL accreditation since August 2024. The Android Auto Projection expansion means OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers can now run both certification programs through a single partner, cutting out the complexity of managing multiple vendors and test cycles.
CIeNET operates seven labs globally, with a follow-the-sun workflow that keeps test cycles running around the clock and maximizes utilization across time zones. This global footprint allows OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers across North America, Europe and Asia to scale certification efforts more efficiently while reducing idle time between test cycles.
CIeNET's 3PL certification work is supported by proprietary AI tooling, including C-ATS Auto®, its automated test execution platform, and AI-driven failure analysis systems developed in-house. These tools use machine learning to analyze test logs, automate failure triage, and speed up test execution, reducing manual work while improving accuracy and turnaround times. The result: faster certification cycles, earlier issue identification, and lower validation costs for OEMs.
"This expansion allows us to be a true one-stop shop for OEMs who want both cars with Google built-in and Android Auto Projection certification from a single partner. With Android Auto Projection Certification 2.0 now in effect, having both programs under one roof helps our customers move faster and avoid coordination delays," said Jarter Fang, CEO of CIeNET.
